MSU scientists land $14.4 million to improve quality of fruit

Hungry to make fruit better for longer, Michigan State University scientists will lead a four-year, $14.4 million grant-funded research project. The grant is the largest ever awarded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Specialty Crop Research Initiative since its inception in 2007.

Hubble Space Telescope repair ace to speak at MSU on Oct. 9

Space innovator Frank Cepollina is NASA’s much-awarded leader of the team responsible for missions that keep the giant Hubble Space Telescope in peak flying condition. Cepollina will share his experiences and insights at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 in Room 1345 Engineering Building at Michigan State University. His lecture is free and open to the public.
