NEPAD-MSU land $10.4 million to improve African agricultural practices

The New Partnership for Africa’s Development and Michigan State University will use a five-year, $10.4 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to connect African biosafety regulators with advances in technology – an initiative aimed at reducing poverty through improved agricultural practices.

New recycling drop-off center opens for 24-hour recycling service

Equine genetics Webcast series continues with free program on genetic testing

SCID, HYPP, LWS, HERDA, GBED: the letters can be confusing and their descriptions frightening for horse owners and breeders. To learn more about these and other equine genetic disorders, including where they originate and tests available to detect them, Michigan State University Extension’s My Horse University and the University of Minnesota are offering a free Webcast at 1 p.m. EDT on Oct. 21.
