MSU associate provost named chairman of Capital Area Health Alliance

James Randolph Hillard, MSU’s associate provost for human health affairs, has been named chairperson of the board for the Capital Area Health Alliance, a coalition of mid-Michigan organizations, businesses, health care professionals and volunteers working to empower the community to achieve better health.

Two international magazines rank Wharton Center in the list of top 20 theatres in the world

Pollstar Magazine, the industry source for concert and tour information, and Venues Today, a leading publication covering live music, arts and sports in entertainment facilities across the world, have ranked the top international venues based on ticket sales.  Wharton Center ranks in the top 20 in both magazines’ mid-year reports for ticket sales.

Gour among U.S. graduate students who participated in the Meeting of Nobel Laureates

Jeff Gour, a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and doctoral student working with Piotr Piecuch, a professor of chemistry at Michigan State University, was among the delegation of U.S. graduate students invited to participate in the 59th Meeting of Nobel Laureates, held in Lindau, Germany.
