Promotional events announced for MSU hockey season

Midnight Madness at the Breslin Center on Oct. 16

Michigan State's annual Midnight Madness event to tip-off the 2009-10 basketball season will be held Oct. 16. This year's event, Celebrate the Moment, will recognize some of the best moments in the program's history. Doors to the Breslin Center will open at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free. The seventh annual Michigan State University Women's Leadership Conference is scheduled for Nov. 8 at the MSU Union Building. MSU faculty, staff, students, community leaders and MSU alumni will present a variety of workshops to help empower undergraduate and graduate women students to pursue their leadership potential.

Green technology focus of a regional conference for black chemists, chemical engineers

The Michigan State University chapter of the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers, or NOBCChE, will host a green technology conference Oct. 30 – Nov. 1. Registration, abstract submission and MSU Visitation Day sign-up are due Oct. 20.
