WKAR seeks applicants for Community Advisory Board

WKAR Radio and Television is seeking university and college student applicants for one-year terms for the station’s community advisory board. The WKAR Community Advisory Board has been a part of WKAR's broadcasting services since 1972, serving as a liaison between the community and WKAR. The CAB meets six times a year. Terms begin July 1 and end June 30.

Red water alert from Physical Plant

For approximately three weeks, the Physical Plant will be operating existing water valves and as part of the project will be removing and/or replacing a section of water well main. During this process, some discoloration of the water supply may occur throughout campus. While this discoloration is harmless in terms of sanitation and safety, it is possible that it may discolor clothing when used for laundry. Please check with a facility manager for details.

Dim Down supports World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour

MSU will participate in a Dim Down from noon to 1 p.m. March 27 in support of the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour. The MSU community is asked to turn off lights, computers, monitors and any other non-essential electronics during this time.

ANGEL course management system to receive upgrade in May

ANGEL course management system at MSU will be upgraded to a new version May 14-15. The new version of ANGEL will feature improved grading rubrics and a more accessible layout and appearance.

Last week to have photo take for new employee ID card

This week is the last week MSU employees can have their photo taken for the new MSU employee ID card that will be distributed in late April. Employees may update existing photos, or if no photo exists in the ID system or if the photo was taken prior to January 1, 2000, a new photo is required to be taken. A complete schedule of photo sessions is posted at http://idcard.msu.edu/index.html. Research on university's image and reputation presented March 17-18

Representatives of SimpsonScarborough, a higher education communications research and consulting firm, will be on campus March 17 and 18 to report findings from research conducted recently to assess the university’s image and reputation.
