Dim Down supports World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour

MSU will participate in a Dim Down from noon to 1 p.m. March 27 in support of the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour. The MSU community is asked to turn off lights, computers, monitors and any other non-essential electronics during this time.

Dim Down is MSU’s way of engaging faculty and staff in the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour event, 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 28. MSU is one of four flagship campuses participating. Read more at http://www.earthhourus.org/main.php.

How to spread the word about Dim Down:

  • Post posters in common areas. Request pre-printed posters from begreen@msu.edu (quantities limited) 
  • Set up a meeting point for your building go to the Dim Down walk at 12:15pm. The walk begins on the south side of Spartan Stadium and goes to Beaumont Tower.
  • Add Dim Down reminders on your office Outlook or calendar utility
  • Send a reminder e-mail at 11:45 a.m. March 27

Reports will be available the week after Dim Down and Earth Hour to see how MSU participated in the event.
