Michigan State University’s beloved and buff mascot Sparty is celebrating a 20th birthday this weekend.

To help mark the occasion, 42 of Sparty’s closest friends – all named Sparty at one time or another during their college careers – will attend a Sparty Mascot Reunion on campus.

The alumni mascots will be recognized during the MSU-Iowa football game, which starts at 7:05 p.m. Oct. 24 at Spartan Stadium, 200 Spartan Way.

The reunion is sponsored by the MSU Alumni Association and the MSU Student Alumni Association.
