All 324 students on MSU study-abroad programs in London and all 16 faculty members leading those programs have been accounted for and are safe. University officials announced at a press conference Thursday that the current situation does not warrant the need to cancel any MSU study-abroad programs in London at this point.

Since immediately after the tragic incidents Thursday in London, the Office of Study Abroad has been in constant contact with MSU students, faculty and staff participating in programs there. We have activated formally established protocols for handling incidents abroad. For example, prior to departure, students, faculty, staff and families are provided a toll-free number back to campus. That number is being fully utilized to report information.

While immediacy is crucial, we want to assure accuracy in the information disseminated here, and appreciate very much the understanding and cooperation already offered by students, their families and others as we gather and report up-to-date, accurate information.
