EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Big Ten Conference released its preseason poll prior to the conference's basketball media day in Chicago on Oct. 29. The Michigan State women's basketball team was picked second by both the coaches and media, while senior Allyssa DeHaan was chosen to the five-player All-Big Ten Preseason Team by both parties.
Ohio State topped both preseason polls, after winning the conference regular season and tournament titles last season. Following OSU and MSU in the coaches poll was Minnesota, Purdue, Iowa, Illinois, Penn State, Northwestern, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. In the media poll, Purdue was picked third, followed by Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Penn State, Indiana, Northwestern and Michigan.
