EAST LANSING, Mich. — A new research and development partnership will be announced Monday, March 1, between Michigan State University and INgage Networks, an internationally recognized company whose enterprise social media solutions help companies, nonprofits and governments collaborate online to improve their organizations.
The announcement will be at 2:30 p.m. in Studio 134E in the Communication Arts and Sciences Building on the MSU campus.
The MSU-INgage Networks partnership will allow INgage to establish a base in Michigan and work with in-state firms that can expand and become successful through use of social media.
The collaboration will allow MSU, which already has a strong reputation in social media research, to enhance much of the work it does, while also giving students the opportunity for real-world experiences.
Among the participants in the March 1 announcement are MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon, INgage Networks CEO Kim Patrick Kobza, and MSU College of Communication Arts and Sciences Dean Pamela Whitten.
Formerly known as Neighborhood America, INgage Networks provides enterprise social software and services that promotes online collaboration among networks of employees, customers and partners.
Live streaming of the announcement will be available at http://www.spartantv.cas.msu.edu/Spartan_TV.html and www.livestream.com/spartantv.
